Remote Learning

In circumstances where remote learning is required, Highfields College will offer a tailored approach, to support continued learning and progress, which will include:

• Paper-based work, text books and workbooks
• Access to Google classroom, with subject teacher support, feedback and resources,
  bespoke to each student’s needs
• On-line tests and quizzes
• Recorded lessons / Live lessons where deemed appropriate
• Telephone contact with support staff to motivate and encourage
• School / home drop-off for work to be given out and handed in where appropriate

Research has been carried out to assess and record students’ access to appropriate devices in their home environment and there may be occasions when school laptops are loaned to individual students for use at home. Procedures for remote learning may be followed outside of lockdown, when a student is experiencing exceptional difficulties accessing are regular offers.
