We are now on Week 7 of our new Forest Schools programme – as introduced to readers a few weeks ago here. In the most recent weeks, Mr Presell reports the following:

“Throughout the last two weeks, the students in our KS3 Forest School have been developing their connection with the natural world by exploring, experimenting and getting muddy. Always child-led, the students have developed the confidence to make their own choices and assess their own risks while enjoying the joys of the forest. As well as identifying species of trees and building dens, this week, students have been creating their own mud-slide; clearing the ground, assessing landing zones and using water to reduce friction. Some great teamwork and lots of fun.”
