Following an application process involving an interview with leadership and visit to the school, Highfields has been awarded ‘Trauma Informed Employer’ status at ‘Silver’ by the Survivors Trust.

What this means is we have demonstrated that the school’s work is ‘tuned in’ to the fact many people have suffered from difficult events such as violence, serious accidents and/or bereavement.  Although Highfields does work with a special group of students (in the positive sense as much as the challenges), these experiences are unfortunately part of life for so many people.
